A compilation of albums from different genres that have made their mark on the industry over the last 12 months.

2025 has been a year full of music, with major comebacks from artists and revelations we didn’t expect to see in our top rankings. We have seen artists such as Rosalía return after more than three years without releasing music from her own solo project, and Aitana enter a new era, placing her album Cuarto Azul at number one for many listeners. Without a doubt, it has been an excellent year for music, especially thanks to the new albums we have been playing on repeat.
At RAD, we’ve been hard at work putting together a compilation of our two favourite albums and discovering what we consider to be the best albums of 2025. We’ll tell you why they’ve earned a place on this list and what makes them so special, in no particular order. Will they match your favourites?

Lux de Rosalía

LUX was a long time coming, but it took as long as it needed to bring us Rosalía’s fourth and most ambitious album. A spiritual journey set against a symphonic backdrop, whose era was dynamited with the release of Berghain. At this point, there are things we don’t imagine possible until Rosalía does them. Without a doubt, one of the most powerful studio works of the year, with a depth and delicacy that reaffirm Rosalía’s status as one of the most groundbreaking artists in our history. The concept behind LUX and its links to spirituality and religious references have not been without controversy, and it seems that we still have a lot to discover about the universe surrounding LUX, which we may be able to explore a little more when the tour begins in 2026.
Cuarto Azul de Aitana

As your trusted Aitana expert, I have to tell you that Cuarto azul is almost certainly going to be the best album Aitana has ever made in her entire career. There may be other great songs and albums that position her at the top of the pyramid that is the music industry. However, Cuarto azul will remain in the collective imagination as the album that gave Aitana credibility as an artist, as a songwriter and as the ultimate manager of her project. A 19-track LP with sonic and visual coherence, featuring lyrics whose protagonists are easily recognisable, giving it the most important ingredient for lasting success: authenticity. Cuarto azul will be here to stay.
DTMF de Bad Bunny

DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS could easily be the album of the year (competing strongly with Rosalía’s LUX). Bad Bunny has undergone an artistic evolution that is as incredible as it is unpredictable, and he has managed to condense feelings that run through his generation into a brilliant studio work: uprootedness, nostalgia, lack of belonging, and social criticism around dispossession, a central issue that runs through contemporary life. It is a project that has transcended borders, confronted exclusionary frameworks, and will shine in all its splendour at the upcoming Super Bowl.
afroLOVA 25′ de Rels B

Rels B makes this album feel very real and very much his own. It’s not about forcing hits or trying to get on the charts, but about letting go and enjoying the journey. It has that calmness that accompanies you at any moment, turning each song into a factory of calm sensations that are much needed in today’s frenetic pace. Rels B sounds comfortable, confident in what he does, and that shows in every track. The album flows smoothly, without any surprises, with songs that are easy to listen to but stay with you. afroLOVA 25′ is one of those albums that you never tire of, that you put on again without thinking and that ends up becoming part of your daily
The Life of a Showgir de Taylor Swift

The Life of a Showgirl is one of the albums of the year because we have got to know the other side of the Pennsylvania artist’s life. The album reminds us that behind every sparkle there is a real story, full of doubts, strength and vulnerability. Taylor Swift turns the stage into a mirror: she shows what it means to hold on to the light when everything around you is noise. Each song is an act of resistance, a way of saying that you can keep going even when the weight is enormous. For those of us who attended The Eras Tour, this album allows us to see what lies behind one of the most important tours of recent years.
